You’re not alone on this great path called LIFE.
“The real voyage of discovery consists NOT in seeking new landscapes, BUT in having new eyes.”
Topics and Audiences
Everyone’s path on this great journey of life is different. But one thing we all have in common is we need direction to make sure we’re on the right path. Cairns are human-made stacks of stones left on a path for a purpose, usually seen on hiking trails. Cairns are the visual reminder from a benevolent stranger marking a path or trail that we’re on. Cairns don’t tell you where you will end up on your journey, they just let you know that you’re on the right path.
Building a Cairn on a trail is a gesture of goodwill and trust. It symbolizes an offer of warm reception and the beautiful human connection. It takes time to build and pure intention to create a safe place for all to travel. As I prepare to speak, I envision myself building a Cairn for a life path marker to help keep all safe on this journey. Cairns mark the safest route on a trail, help to keep us on the course when the trail is hard to see and remind us that we’re not alone.
Just like a Cairn, I seek to create a safe place for all to share and learn. The topics I speak on can be hard for some and triggering for others. But because of my life experiences and my desire to create a safe place, my goal is to “see” those that I speak to and for them to see that I’m “seeing” them. I desire to listen and hear the topics that are needed, and I can discern the information that will bring the greatest impact to my audience. I seek to be a trusted friend, dialogue creator and mentor to all whom I meet.
